Barge Reef
This World War ll era barge sits upright on top of a small reef in Apra Harbor. The reef begins at 50 feet and slopes down on all sides to a 120-foot sandy bottom. Large sponge colonies and schooling rainbow runners frequent this reef, which is seldom visited by divers.
The barge is home to numerous species of reef fish and invertebrates that hide inside the ribs of the barge.
This barge is surrounded by interesting reefs, full of sponges, fish, and several varieties of coral.
